We are the fundraising arm of Benson Park.
FoBP Inc. is an independent non-profit charitable trust dedicated to supporting Benson Park.
The Benson Park Advisory Committee of the Town of Hudson, NH was created to convert the site of the former Benson's Wild Animal Farm of Hudson, New Hampshire into a passive recreational park that all residents of New Hampshire may enjoy.
Among other things, the Friends of Benson Park, Inc., web site has the history of New Hampshire's only zoo from the founder Mr. John T. Benson through the latest owner, Mr. Arthur J. Provencher.
Three history books have been written on Benson's Wild Animal Farm. "Remembering Benson's Wild Animal Farm" (1998) and "Benson's Wild Animal Farm" (Feb. 2011) by Bob Goldsack from Nashua, NH with another "Benson's Wild Animal Farm" (May 2010) by Lynne Ober from Hudson, NH.
The board of the Friends of Benson Park, Inc., meets once each month to discuss various issues in funding and upkeep for the park.
Many historical buildings are being renovated, including the gorilla cage, the elephant barn, and the shoe.
Come check out the park, it is becoming more beautiful every day. Please, consider becoming a member or volunteering as part of park maintenance as the park is a work-in-progress.
Benson Park is one of the largest parks in New England at 165+ acres with 9/11 Memorial, a playground, historical buildings, trails, ponds and a lake, picnic areas and beautiful landscapes for visitors.
